Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to establish an account or use the Services.

Account Access: You may sign in using Google OAuth or passwordless one-time verification codes sent to your email. You are solely responsible for maintaining control of the email address associated with your account and for all activity occurring under your account.

Limited License: We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Askio client solely for accessing the Services in accordance with these Terms.

Restrictions: You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Askio application, nor attempt to circumvent license checks, rate limiters, or security protections.

Advisory Nature: Transcriptions, summaries, action items, and conversational suggestions are generated algorithmically using artificial intelligence. AI outputs may occasionally contain inaccuracies, incomplete statements, or unexpected outputs.

No Professional Warranties: The Services are designed as productivity and conversational aids. Outputs do not constitute formal legal, financial, medical, or other licensed professional advice. You agree to exercise independent judgment and verify all critical information prior to relying upon it.

Billing & Tiers: Certain advanced features and extended usage require active subscription tiers or credit packages. Prices, credit rates, and quotas are displayed at the time of purchase and are subject to change upon reasonable notice.

Payment Processing: Transactions are processed securely via authorized third-party payment gateways (such as Razorpay). By initiating a transaction, you authorize charges to your designated payment method.

Refund Policy: Due to real-time computational costs, payments, subscriptions, and credit purchases are non-refundable except where explicitly mandated by applicable consumer protection laws or agreed in writing by Askio.

Your Content: You retain ownership of documents, files, audio inputs, and prompts you provide (“User Content”). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, host, and index your User Content solely to deliver and maintain the Services for you.

Output Ownership: As between you and Askio, to the extent permitted by applicable law, you own the generated meeting summaries, action items, and text outputs produced specifically for your account.

Platform Property: The Askio platform, desktop application, trademarks, logos, visual interfaces, documentation, and underlying codebases remain the exclusive property of Askio and its licensors.

You agree not to use the Services to:

• Conduct unlawful eavesdropping or record individuals in violation of privacy regulations.
• Upload or transmit defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, or infringing material.
• Interfere with, overburden, or disrupt system infrastructure or network integrity.
• Attempt unauthorized access to other accounts or platform systems.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASKIO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL ASKIO, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR PARTNERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR WORK DISRUPTIONS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
